Looking to become a client? Start here instead — a few more questions, and we can tell you what we'd do first.

Please don't include Social Security numbers, bank details or tax documents.

By sending this you agree we can contact you about your inquiry. See our privacy policy.

Which route to use

The form is the right choice if you are working out whether to become a client, because it gives us enough context to answer properly rather than trading three emails to establish the basics. It also works at eleven at night, which is when owners tend to read pages like this.

Call if you would rather talk, if the question is quick, or if there is a deadline involved. For a practice this size the phone is often the fastest route to an actual answer.

Email suits existing clients and anything with a document attached — though see the note below about what should not be attached.

What not to send

Please do not send Social Security numbers, employer identification numbers, bank credentials or tax documents through the form, by ordinary email, or through a messaging app.

Tax records contain exactly the information used for identity theft, and for a business they contain it about other people too — anyone the business has paid. None of those channels are built to carry it.

The form on this site is deliberately built not to receive that material. It is a design decision rather than a limitation: a secure route gets set up once there is a reason to send anything, and a description is enough for a first conversation.

What happens after you get in touch

Someone reads it — there is no triage queue and no auto-response pretending to be a person. If it is a question we can answer in a sentence, you get a sentence back rather than an invitation to a meeting.

If it is about becoming a client, the next step is a short conversation about how the business runs. You do not need to prepare anything or tidy anything up beforehand.

If we are not the right fit, we will say so early rather than three months in, and where we can we will point you toward someone better suited.

Visiting the office

The office is at 187 Washington Street in North Easton, in the town of Easton. If you would rather talk something through in person, that is often the faster way to resolve a year of ambiguous transactions or to work through a decision.

Call or email before coming by. It is a small practice, which is the point of it, and it also means there is not always somebody at the desk.

The work runs perfectly well remotely if that suits you better — being local is an option here, not a requirement.

Prefer to talk

For anything with a deadline, the phone is faster.

A small practice means the person who answers is usually the person who can help, rather than someone taking a message.
