Last updated: 11 August 2026

This notice covers the website only. It does not cover the separate terms that apply to engagements, to any client portal, or to the handling of your tax records once you are a client — those are set out in your engagement letter.

Who we are

Murphy, 187 Washington Street, North Easton, MA 02356. You can reach us at (508) 205-7333 or dmurphy@murphyaccounting.com.

What this website collects

If you complete a form on this site, we collect what you type into it: your name, business name, email address, phone number, which services you are asking about, and anything you write in the message box. It is sent to us by email so that we can reply to you and work out whether we are a good fit. A copy also goes to the agency that maintains this website, so that a delivery failure is noticed by somebody.

We also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It sets cookies in your browser and records things like the pages you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you used. We use it to understand which of these pages are useful. We do not use it for advertising, we do not combine it with anything you send through a form, and you can block it with any of the usual browser settings or extensions without losing access to anything here.

Please do not send sensitive information through this website — no Social Security numbers, EINs, tax returns, bank details or copies of documents. The forms here are for making contact. Once we are working together we will give you a secure route for records.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your information.
  • We do not use it for advertising or share it with advertisers.
  • We do not run advertising cookies, retargeting pixels or any tracking that follows you to other websites. The only analytics here is the visit measurement described above.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become engagements are kept only as long as needed to answer them and to keep a record of the conversation. Records relating to actual engagements are governed by professional and legal retention requirements, which are longer.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete an enquiry. Contact us using the details above. Massachusetts and federal law give you rights over certain personal and financial information, and where those apply we will honour them.

Text messages

We will only text you if you have given us your number and agreed to it. You can stop at any time by replying STOP or telling us. Message and data rates may apply.
